Searching the web in Amazon’s Silk browser can be a little slow, as can loading large games. The response to your touch feels quicker too, while video apps handle just as well as much more powerful tablets, scrubbing through video with ease. Swiping around the system, loading and jumping between apps is all fairly smooth, if not quite rapid. Amazon says it’s 30% faster than the previous version, which doesn’t make it lightning fast but it feels a lot more responsive in operation. The Fire HD 10 gets a much-needed speed boost for 2019. Stereo speakers in the top are fairly loud and clear, but lack bass and sound a little shrill when turned up to maximum. It won’t beat the screen on a top-end tablet, but the LCD display is crisp and bright enough with wide viewing angles to make the most of sharing movies and TV shows indoors. The full HD 10.1in screen has a 16:10 ratio that’s perfectly suited to watching video, meaning you get a bigger picture than you would on a similarly sized 10in screen with a squarer 4:3 ratio (such as an iPad). The plastic is hard wearing and while there’s some flex in the body, it feels like it can take a bit of rough and tumble just fine. 12/24/2023 0 Comments Professor onyx edhHer ultimate should win you the game or devastate an opponent’s hand to the point where their defeat is inevitable, but getting it off is pretty fanciful. Her +1 loads up your graveyard while adding cards to your hand Strategic Planning on demand is nice, much less in black. Her -3 gets rid of creatures, and it has the upshot of not targeting it wipes out the largest creature your opponent has, which is usually the best creature to get rid of, and it bypasses a lot of restrictions. Under a slightly different alias, she’s managed to secure a spot teaching students how to be good practitioners of magic…and with that, we’ve come to Strixhaven, the magical school set that’s all about casting stuff and things.īy and large, Professor Onyx does the usual Liliana things, just with a Strixhaven twist. Liliana looks to be doing well for herself. It might not be the attribute we look for in cutthroat settings, but I like it. Her -3 is also tamer than some other planeswalkers’ self-protection, but I actually kind of like that: like many cards in Strixhaven, it is impeccably fair in gameplay, which is appealing to me. Her +1 is tamer than a lot of black card advantage options, but should do a good enough job at finding more things to trigger her magecraft ability, and her ultimate is surprisingly devastating. In competitive settings, it might indeed be better to just play Tendrils of Agony, but if you don’t need to end the game on the spot and just get advantage over multiple turns, Professor Onyx is where you want to go. In fact, you might even play her just for her magecraft ability, because there’s nothing else that quite does what it does, in any card type. She’s part of the third iteration of planeswalkers with static abilities outside of the text box, she’s one of the planeswalkers with the biggest difference between her name and her type (more or less matched by The Royal Scions). Regardless, class is in – Strixhaven is just around the corner.įittingly for a set that diverges from what we’ve done recently, Professor Onyx has a lot of innovations. I’m a lecturer myself, and some of my students use a laptop or tablet in tutorials quite a few don’t bring anything at all, which always draws a raised eyebrow from me. Grab your pencils and your notebooks, or whatever people use in class these days. 12/24/2023 0 Comments Green goblin actor engagedGreen Goblin was still a serious threat, and he engaged Tom Holland's Spider-Man in a vicious melee battle. Ionic compounds that contain water molecules as integral components of their crystals are called hydrates. The other fluoride of tin is SnF 4, which was previously called stannic fluoride but is now named tin(IV) fluoride. This represents the formula SnF 2, which is more properly named tin(II) fluoride. For example, you may see the words stannous fluoride on a tube of toothpaste. Though this naming convention has been largely abandoned by the scientific community, it remains in use by some segments of industry. Out-of-date nomenclature used the suffixes – ic and – ous to designate metals with higher and lower charges, respectively: Iron(III) chloride, FeCl 3, was previously called ferric chloride, and iron(II) chloride, FeCl 2, was known as ferrous chloride. Other examples are provided in Table 2.9. These two compounds are then unambiguously named iron(II) chloride and iron(III) chloride, respectively. In cases like this, the charge of the metal ion is included as a Roman numeral in parentheses immediately following the metal name. The simplest name, “iron chloride,” will, in this case, be ambiguous, as it does not distinguish between these two compounds. Iron typically exhibits a charge of either 2+ or 3+ (see Figure 2.29), and the two corresponding compound formulas are FeCl 2 and FeCl 3. For example, consider binary ionic compounds of iron and chlorine. The charge of the metal ion is determined from the formula of the compound and the charge of the anion. Compounds of these metals with nonmetals are named with the same method as compounds in the first category, except the charge of the metal ion is specified by a Roman numeral in parentheses after the name of the metal. Most of the transition metals and some main group metals can form two or more cations with different charges. Table 2.8 Compounds Containing a Metal Ion with a Variable Charge The name of a binary compound containing monatomic ions consists of the name of the cation (the name of the metal) followed by the name of the anion (the name of the nonmetallic element with its ending replaced by the suffix – ide). First, is the compound ionic or molecular? If the compound is ionic, does the metal form ions of only one type (fixed charge) or more than one type (variable charge)? Are the ions monatomic or polyatomic? If the compound is molecular, does it contain hydrogen? If so, does it also contain oxygen? From the answers we derive, we place the compound in an appropriate category and then name it accordingly. To name an inorganic compound, we need to consider the answers to several questions. The rules for organic compounds, in which carbon is the principle element, will be treated in a later chapter on organic chemistry. We will limit our attention here to inorganic compounds, compounds that are composed principally of elements other than carbon, and will follow the nomenclature guidelines proposed by IUPAC. The simplest of these are binary compounds, those containing only two elements, but we will also consider how to name ionic compounds containing polyatomic ions, and one specific, very important class of compounds known as acids (subsequent chapters in this text will focus on these compounds in great detail). This module describes an approach that is used to name simple ionic and molecular compounds, such as NaCl, CaCO 3, and N 2O 4. Nomenclature, a collection of rules for naming things, is important in science and in many other situations. 12/24/2023 0 Comments Vergil o katanaIt creates a distortion in space that engulfs his target which is sliced multiple times by the blade in very rapid succession. Vergil utilizes an ability called Judgement Cut in which he draws and swings so fast that Yamato does not appear to even leave its sheath (similar to Iaijutsu, a style of sword techniques). The sword was specifically designed to counteract the immense dimensional energies emitted by the Convergence whereupon it was being channeled through the Seven Gates of Hell. This ability is shown primarily through the sword's ability to create portals for its wielder to travel through. It is also noted to be even sharper than the Muramasa Blade which was able to slice through Fleurety's seemingly indestructible skin. The sword is said to be able to cut through anything, even the very fabric of space itself. Yamato is far sharper than ordinary blades, and is imbued with tremendous demonic power. The blade has also been given prominent temper lines. The hamon featured is a kawazuko choji or tadpole head clove flower styled hamon as similar to those found on blades historically made by Osafune Nagamitsu. The tsuba/handguard is gold and a deep navy blue, shaped like an octagon with two trapezoidal halves, each with gold dot pattern patches and in a grove like motif with gold rings, inside of which are various circles in clusters of three, arranged in triangular patterns, and the gold habaki/fuller is also with a similar embossed pattern. There is a dragon on the pommel/kashira, and the rim fittings from throughout the sword have flowing line patterns in gold gold dragon styled menuki are inserted underneath the tsukamaki to allow for the fingers to grip. The tsukamaki handle has pattern closer to a real katana, giving it the traditional diamond shape in the negative space. Eventually, in the modern age, it was given to Vergil as a memento. Several thousand years later, the sword would be used by Sparda against Absalom alongside Trevor and Sypha, with the Blood God developing a fear of the sword itself. The Yamato would be used to effectively destroy the Gateways without catastrophic blowbacks in the process while also being used to combat the Kings of Hell who held their place by the Gateways as a means to weaken their link to the material plane. The Yamato was created to counter the dimensional energies of the Convergence as Sparda feared that a simple spell would result in devastating after effects. In response to this, Sparda split his power, fragmenting it into three pieces, with among these three being the Yamato itself, embodying a "god of death". When Sparda first rebelled against his masters, and was fresh from his defeat of Mundus and his armies, he saw that the method required to seal the Gate of Hell which was operated by Mundus and his armies that channels the energies of the Convergence would waste too much time and effort and one where he could not allow another's blood to be spilled for the spell to properly take effect and seal off the Gate. Yamato once belonged to Vergil's father, Sparda who split his immense power into three pieces. 12/24/2023 0 Comments 6046 marine corps mosUpon receipt of a positive endorsement from the Commanding Officer, the reenlistment request will be routed to CMC (MMEA) via the Total Force Retention System (TFRS) for adjudication.ĥ.d.
